WPM Real Estate Management Expands in Montgomery County, MD with Management of The Colonnades at Kentlands
Baltimore-based WPM Real Estate Management (WPM), a leader in community association management, announced today that it has assumed management of The Colonnades at Kentlands in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The management contract includes oversight of the Colonnade Condominium Association (CCA), the master association, along with its five sub-associations, each governing one of the community’s five mid-rise residential condominium buildings.
Located in the Kentlands, The Colonnades is a well-established mixed-use community with 307 one-, two-, and three-bedroom condos as well as 13,000 square feet of office and commercial space. The community amenities include a library, café, media room, pub, wine tasting room, parking garage, and a pedestrian bridge that connects key areas of the property. With its close proximity to major roadways and public transit, the community provides convenient access to the greater Washington, DC region.
With several major capital improvement projects planned over the next two and a half years—including bridge restoration, façade repair, and balcony waterproofing—WPM will work closely with The Colonnades’ board to provide the leadership and oversight needed to navigate these initiatives successfully. Daily operations will be managed by a dedicated, on-site community manager and full-time service technician, ensuring responsive support for homeowners. For the upcoming capital improvements, WPM’s Maintenance & Construction Services team will coordinate efforts among the board, engineers, and contractors, facilitating efficient project execution, clear communication, and minimal disruption to the community.
"Managing a community like The Colonnades at Kentlands requires a thoughtful and strategic approach, and we look forward to working closely with the board and owners to support the associations’ goals," said Staci M. Gelfound, CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, President of WPM’s Association Management Division. "Our team is committed to providing the leadership and oversight needed to navigate both the day-to-day management and the complex capital projects ahead. We’re excited to bring our experience and expertise to this community and to homeowner and condominium associations throughout Montgomery County."
